TIME APPROX: four hours, two sittings
REFLECTION: I, in a way, remade this piece. I begun with a blue scheme, with a different feel, and wound up deleting all of it (save the foundation, the horse and the background) and trying again - with fire and red this time. Personally I like it this way better, the first try didn't seem to fit it right, whereas I think this was more what I was searching for. This is the first real manipulation I've done in a while, meaning while I'm proud of the last few I've made - this is one that was completely constructed by myself and for myself instead of one that people asked me to make for them. I'm sure it has the potential to display an even deeper meaning, but for me it's a simple message of freedom, an escape from the fire, whatever that may symbolize, each person is unique after all. I hope people can find there own portrayal of a self-victory in this as I did. (:
